Pittsburgh - May 2002

These pages chronicle a "band trip" in high school. I played the flute at the time. Traveling with friends was a highlight of being part of the chorus and marching band in school, something many friends did in my rural Pennsylvania high school. It was a privilege and a joy to travel across the company competing in band events, and I didn't once feel like my marching band attire was nerdy or a social suicide! I learned in college that this was certainly not the case elsewhere across America!
