Rome - June 2004

My mom's cousin Nina got married in Rome in June 2004, right after my high school graduation. We flew there as a family to celebrate her wedding, which was one of the most magical experiences. I loved being in Italy, and getting to see a new part of the world. Nina met her husband, Alessandro, while studying abroad in Italy, which was an inspiring story and made us all realize how full of opportunity the world really is. I was also on a multi-year bender of Audrey Hepburn movies, and had watched Roman Holiday many times, so being in Rome felt wonderful in terms of seeing scenes from the movie come to life.
